Ravelli House

Design proposal. This project has been executed in collaboration with A+U Architettura e Urbanistica in Albino, Italy. It involves an addition to a residential home. The new design distinguishes itself from the traditional house and is informed by an interpretative assimilation of the morphology of the existing vineyard. The typology of the new building follows the natural terraces and its walls are built with the same stone as the rows of earth containments. Such stone is also vividly present in the quarry, which sets itself as a background, of which the client is the proprietor. The first floor houses an indoor pool and the second floor two apartments. The new terraces play a big role in this whole project and take advantage of the views of the surrounding pristine valley.
