Hermann House

Westchester, NY, 1995

Design proposal. The task was to provide a solution for an elderly couple in safely accessing the existing sunken living room space. The minimal and playful effect of a continuous tubing reduces the width of the four openings surrounding two sides of the living room and, at the same time, marks the edges of the steps.
