Designed while a student at the Politecnico di Milano. The site of this project is an existing military compound located in a central area of Bergamo. This academic design tries to provide a concrete solution to a  problem of urban renewal for the city at that time.  A University campus is proposed as the re-zoning of this area, much needed at that time to reduce the commuting of students to and from Milan. The site is historically prominent for its close proximity to an early fifteenth century tower that was originally part of a walled defensive system built by the Venetians at the time of their ruling. The tower, together with the dialectical presence of the ancient Citta’ Alta, play a pivotal role in the development of this project.
