Grandin Barber Shop

Albino, Italy, 1988

Design proposal. The composition intends to stage and state the functional character of this otherwise limited space. The stations are centered in the room instead of being more commonly distributed along the sides. The bicolored linoleum floor, black with the white circle which inscribes the central area together with proper spot lighting, support the desired staging effect. The storage and equipment area behind the bridge-like frame divider maintain the bi-tonal effect with its striped mirrors while in the curved portion projected images of hair styles are seen.
